Freedom of Information and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (the FOI Act) and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 give you the right to ask for and be given information from a wide range of public organisations in Scotland.  For more information about Freedom of Information and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations, go to the Scottish Information Commissioner’s website at www.itspublicknowledge.info.

We have adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner’s (SIC) Model Publication Scheme (MPS), and developed our own Guide to Information Policy.  These are augmented by two other policies, Access to Information, and Records Management.  All these documents can be accessed through the hyperlinks below.
